Landai Transmission's "Key Technologies and Equipment for High-Precision CNC Machining of Complex Shaped Gears" was awarded the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

On January 20, 2019, at 3:00 PM, the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology held a meeting of the Chongqing High-end Equipment Technology Innovation Alliance. At the meeting, units that won National Science and Technology Progress Awards in 2018 were commended. Landai Transmission's "Key Technologies and Equipment for Precision CNC Machining of Complex Shaped Gears" was awarded the second prize of the "National Science and Technology Progress Award". Complex shaped gears have long been a bottleneck problem hindering the upgrading of our company's products. Relying solely on purchasing foreign equipment prevents us from keeping up with market changes and achieving rapid mass production. In addition, foreign equipment is expensive, putting considerable pressure on production costs. Therefore, the company urgently needs to seek a breakthrough.

Complex shaped gears have long been a bottleneck hindering our company's product upgrades. Relying solely on purchasing foreign equipment prevents us from keeping up with market changes and achieving rapid mass production. Furthermore, foreign equipment is expensive, putting significant pressure on production costs. Therefore, our company urgently needs to find a breakthrough in gear shaping technology. Since 2008, our company, through joint research with Chongqing University and Chongqing Machine Tool Group, has researched and applied gear flexible shaping, tooth surface texture optimization, and error compensation technologies. We have developed a complete set of processing technologies for complex shaped automotive gears that are low-noise, smooth, and long-lasting. The successfully developed "8A4+1 transmission assembly" has won the title of "Chongqing Famous Brand Product," and "LD517MF transmission assembly" and "LD type automotive transmission assembly" have been recognized as "Chongqing High-tech Products." The improvement in product quality and performance has made our company a supplier of power transmission components for many well-known domestic and foreign automobile companies, including Geely Automobile, Zotye Automobile, Sokon Industry, Lifan Industry, Saipa Automobile, Nanjing Bangqi, Wanliyang, and Harbin Dong'an. Some products are exported to the Middle East, forming a business model of simultaneous domestic and international sales.
